When Athletica prescribes running workouts, some athletes notice that their sessions sync to Garmin as power-based workouts instead of heart rate or pace.
This usually happens when the Garmin connection needs to be reconfigured. Luckily, you can fix it quickly in your account settings.
How to Update Your Garmin Connection
- Log in to your Athletica account.
- Go to Settings → Connections.
- Find your Garmin connection and select Configure.
- Scroll down and toggle “Resync future sessions.”
- Click Save.
What This Does
By toggling Resync future sessions, you’re telling Athletica to re-push your planned workouts to Garmin with the correct format (heart rate or pace targets instead of power).
Once saved, your future workouts should appear correctly in Garmin.
Still Seeing Power?
If you continue to see runs coming through as power-based workouts after updating the settings:
- Double-check that you clicked Save after toggling.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting Garmin in Athletica.
- If the issue persists, submit a support ticket for help.
