Overview: What is the Library and Why Use It?
The Library in the Athletica app is a personalized collection of workouts that you can save, modify, and reuse at any time. This feature allows you to store key sessions or favorite workouts making it easy to maintain consistency in your training without having to recreate workouts manually and customizing Athletica's training plan to your own preferences or schedule.
Key Benefits of the Library
-
Quick Access – Save important workouts and reuse them instantly.
-
Customization – Modify workouts before reusing them to suit your needs.
-
Training History Integration – If you’ve synced Garmin, you can add past workouts from your training history (up to 90 days prior to joining Athletica).
-
Personalized Structure – Build a collection of test sessions, key intervals, or favorite workouts for ongoing use.
Important Caveat: How Library Sessions Affect AI Training Adjustments
Any workouts added from your Library will have their training load factored into your overall plan, but they will not be adjusted by the AI.
-
The AI considers the load from added Library sessions when planning future workouts.
-
However, these workouts do not dynamically adapt to your fatigue, readiness, or evolving fitness in the way AI-generated sessions do.
-
The more sessions you manually add in a given week, the less the AI can optimize your training plan.
-
Occasional additions (such as a critical power test or key session) will have minimal impact on the AI’s ability to optimize your plan.
To maximize AI-driven optimization, use Library workouts sparingly and let Athletica generate the majority of your training plan.

-
Save your preferred critical power test to the Library.
-
When it’s time for another test, pull it from the Library and schedule it on your calendar.
-
Modify the session if needed before adding it.
This ensures consistency and makes progress tracking easier over time.
Final Tips
-
Library workouts are private to you – only you can access and edit them.
-
If you've imported workouts from Garmin, you can go back through your training history and save past sessions to your Library.
-
Use the Workout Builder to create and store fully customized workouts.
-
For optimal AI adjustments, rely primarily on AI-generated workouts and only use Library sessions when necessary.
